It’s been a busy year for The Roaming Pint crew. Full time beer travel isn’t as always just visiting breweries and beer fests. This year we slowed down our travels and were able to give back to the beer community by working with several prominent beer entities.

Here are some of the highlights for us and our beer travels in 2015:

American Craft Beer Week

Every year the brewers Association promotes the nation wide community of craft brewers with American Craft Beer Week. To help promote the week and they tapped Brian to develop and illustrate this year’s graphic which also had an interactive element by providing fun beer facts on their interactive map. If you look closely you can find popular regional beers abstractly featured in their areas.

Craft Beer & Brewing magazine

Sometimes a story can be told better with visuals rather than words. This is why CB&B magazine reached out to us to help visualize their data driven stories to show the bigger picture. Here are couple we produced from 2015.

Beer Advocate Magazine

With Beer Advocate approaching their 100th issue of the magazine they wanted to look back at how the community and company have grown over the years. Brian helped them put their story into visual format with this infographic.

Brian also wrote the cover story for issue #99 about professional brewers who decided to take their education on the road.

Craft Brewers Conference

While attending our second CBC, Brian reached out to All About Beer magazine to help them cover the event in a unique way. He took a quote from each day of thr conference and turned it into a hand lettered illustration to be shared on AAB’s social networks.

LA Explorers Society (New Belgium)

The LA Explorers Society arranges bike based outings that explore the historic neighborhoods of this city. To promote their LA Noir tour New Belgium tapped Brian to create some promotional graphics and a patch that would given to participants.

Upgraded our mobile office

Our old RV and work place, Stanley, has taken us all over the country and to numerous breweries and beer bars, but 4.5 years of teh full-time lifestyle had taken it’s toll him. So in June we got a new mobile work space, Ad Astra, that is 3 feet shorter but gives us more room with it’s slide out section. We added solar to keep great beer content coming.

Added to our brewery count

Although we have slowed down this year we still managed to add 63 new breweries (14 states) to our running list that now counts 478 total.  Here’s to hitting #500 in 2016.

Cheers!
