Q. Tell us about yourself in 140 characters or less. OR in a haiku
A. We’re Ryan & Kindra, aka Love & Adventure – we travel around the world – seeing sights, sampling tasty beers and loving every minute of it.
Q. What are your three favorite things?
A. Family, Friends and Traveling. (Beer is a close fourth.)
Q. If beer drinking was your “job” what title would you give yourself?
Q. Why do you travel?
A. We love to see new places, taste new things, and have adventures – whether they are in our own backyard or halfway across the world.
Q. How long have you been seeking out craft beer when you travel? What was your first craft beer travel memory?
A. Our first craft beer travel memory is biking to Tyranena, in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. We had such a great time that we decided to visit all the craft breweries in Wisconsin.
Q. Where all have you been? What breweries have you visited?
A. We’ve been to a lot of breweries in Wisconsin, including Sprecher, Capital Brewery, Lakefront, Central Waters Brewery, South Shore Brewery, and Point Brewery. There are also a lot of breweries and brew pubs in Madison, where we live. Some of our favorites here are Ale Asylum, Vintage, and The Great Dane.
Q. What are some of your favorite breweries that you have visited?
A. We had a blast at Lakefront Brewery – it was one of the funniest tours we’ve ever been on. Central Waters was inspiring, their commitment to brewing sustainable (and delicious) beer is admirable.
Q. Best Beer State in your opinion:
Q. Brewery you want to visit:
A. We’re heading out to Colorado in November, and we’re really excited to visit Odell!
Q.Tell us about your most memorable brewery visit:
A. This summer we traveled to Flam in Norway and sampled beer at the Ægir Brewery. Ægir is located at the edge of a spectacular fjord, and the brewery itself looks like it came out of a Norse fairytale – complete with a fireplace surrounded by a bench draped with sheepskins and chairs that look like they are still part of the trees they were carved from.
Q. What do you look for when deciding what pint to pour next?
A. Well, Kindra loves IPAs, so we’re always on the lookout for new and exciting hoppy beers. Ryan will try anything once, but he is a lager man at heart
Q. If you could have dinner and beers with anyone in the craft beer industry, who would it be and where would you go?
A. Hmmm, we’d have to go with Deb & Dan Carey of New Glarus Brewing. They are not only amazing brewers, but great business owners who truly care about their employees, their community and their customers. We’d definitely go to The Old Fashioned for dinner – it’s a beer mecca in Madison, and the food is amazing.
Q. Where can we find more about you online? Twitter/Facebook/Website etc.
